PLME students benefit from a wide range of research opportunities that foster intellectual exploration and early engagement in scholarly work. Through the PLME Summer Research Assistantship (SRA), they receive funding to pursue research in the sciences, social sciences, or humanities under the guidance of a Brown faculty mentor. Students may also take part in specialized initiatives like the Emerging Infectious Disease and HIV Scholars Program (H-EIDS). In addition to PLME-specific programs, they have access to the broader network of research opportunities at Brown, including fellowships, lab positions, and independent study options across disciplines.
