PLME student organizations enrich the program by fostering leadership, service, and community. The PLME Senate serves as the official student representative body, strengthening connections across cohorts. The Community Health Advocacy (CHAP) engages students in local service initiatives focused on health education, creative expression, and mentorship. The First-Generation and Underrepresented in Medicine (FURM) group provides a supportive space for students navigating the PLME experience, helping to build a more inclusive and empowering community.

Community Health Advocacy Program (CHAP)
The Community Health Advocacy Program (CHAP) works cooperatively with various Providence organizations to promote the physical, mental, and emotional health of individuals and the community as a whole. Composed of student volunteers in PLME, our teams identify relevant health issues and then develop programs to address these issues. CHAP provides the opportunity for communities and future health care professionals to meet the health care needs of areas that are often underserved due to a variety of social, economic, and cultural barriers.
